This guide provides the necessary steps to ensure your mBot runs smoothly on a Windows 11 environment.
Common Issues on Windows 11:
- Virtualization-Based Security (VBS): Can interfere with older hooking methods.
- Windows Defender/SmartScreen: Automatically quarantines botting tools.
- Permissions: Lack of administrative privileges causing failed client injections.
Optimization & Configuration Steps
To achieve maximum stability, follow these steps:- Exclude Bot Directory from Defender:
- Go to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings.
- Under Exclusions, click Add or remove exclusions.
- Add the entire folder where your mBot and vSRO client are located.
- Enable Legacy Components:
- Sometimes, older .NET Framework versions are required. Go to Turn Windows features on or off and ensure .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) is checked.
- Run with Administrative Privileges:
- Always set mBot.exe and sro_client.exe to "Run as Administrator" via the Compatibility tab in Properties.
- Compatibility Mode:
- If you face crashes, set the Compatibility Mode for mBot.exe to Windows 7 or Windows 8.
- Disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention):
- If you get an "Access Denied" or memory error, run CMD as Administrator and type:bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
- Note: This reduces system security; only do this if strictly necessary.
