Installation & Setup

1. Upload the contents of the /upload directory to your XenForo root directory
2. Go to Admin CP > Add-ons, then install SolutionControl

Configuration

1. Navigate to Admin CP > Forums
2. Edit any forum using the 'Question' thread type
3. You'll find two new options under the forum's settings:
   • Select a prefix to be auto-applied when a solution is marked
   • Enable or disable auto-locking of threads when a solution is marked (and auto-unlock when removed)
4. Save your settings—done!

Retroactive Thread Locking

SolutionControl includes a daily cron job that scans all forums with auto-locking enabled and:

• Finds threads that are marked as solved
• Checks if they're not currently locked
• Locks them automatically

This ensures older threads also benefit from automated control—even if they were solved before the add-on was installed.
